It all started at a backyard party.......

Local Call is a 6-piece alternative folk-rock band from Lynchburg, Virginia that got its start at a backyard 4th of July party. While attending a neighborhood cookout in 2021, an impromptu firepit jam session broke out where Mike Petrikonis (acoustic guitar/lead vocals) and Andy Sinclair (bass/background vocals) led those attending in all all-night sing-along. The following morning, Mike and Andy cooked up the idea of Local Call. Shortly thereafter, John Morgan (mandolin/banjo/guitar) and Chad Mather (drums) joined the band. They played around Lynchburg, Virginia for the remainder of 2021 and most of 2022 honing their skill before being joined by the incredibly talented Jasper Oliver (violin) and Tim Pafford (lead guitar). The rest is history......

Drawing from a variety of musical backgrounds, they blend their varying musical talents into their own unique sound. The band started off primarily as a cover band but quickly learned the joys of writing and composing their own original music. They released their first full-length studio album, composed of all original songs titled “Some Days” in July, 2024 and released their second studio album titled "Jack" seven months later, in February, 2025.

They have played numerous jam-packed and sold-out shows throughout Central Virginia including hometown favorites "The Music Hall" and Lynchburg Academy of the Art's "Warehouse Theatre".  While they have shifted more into the realm of original music, they still love rocking to their favorite covers ranging from The Grateful Dead to Tom Petty to 90’s Alt Rock to Current Hits.
